Upper Teton River Report (between fox creek and packsaddle)
The Grass hoppers are flying! the fish are slamming the suface to get grabs at a good PLOP! a hopper dropper is all but a guarrantee right now to land ya a nice cutt or rainbow. some lunker white fish swimming around as well
This is the start of hoppers for the season on the Teton so the fish are still aggressively eating all that they see, get here soon before the pressure makes em warry.
The days are hot so bring lots of water and sunscreen. a face and neck cover are highly recommended as well as sunglasses and a hat.
if you stay late there is also some very nice PMD and caddis hatches that go off. youll see lots of action on the surface.
floating with or without stopping to wade fish is my preference unless i only have an hour or so then i go to my honey holes.
fly suggestions: foam and daves hoppers #8, stimulators #8, beetles #10-16(small beetles are more common), black and honey colored ant patterns #12-16, elk hair caddis #14-18, and parachute PMDs #14,16
