Sunrise Fly Shop: May 12 Madison River Fishing Report

Float fishing Between Mcatee Bridge and Burnt Tree is fishing well right now. Fish are eating sculpins, red San Jaun worms, red and grey midge patterns with healthy frequency. Fish are in the obvious deeper water along the banks, and taking flies very lightly, so shorten the indicator depth. DO NOT FLOAT below Burnt Tree as the Ennis Boat Launched is closed. Some dry fly action is about, though spotty, on midge clusters. This report is brough to you by our guide Cale.
Flies: #6 Pats rubber legs, sheila Sculpin,16 #micro may fly, #8 San Juan worms, #4 olive zonker, #18 BWO split back, #18 pheasant tail
